30’ wide x 18’ high (approx.) The idea behind this scene is the unseen at the Crucifixion. With the angels looking on in mourning and preparing for the arrival of their Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit is shining it’s guiding light, and God is blessing not only Jesus but all of us as he symbolically holds the world.
The interior designer wanted to keep the existing Crucifix so I designed the scene around it. All the figures are painted on canvas. After an assistant and I installed canvases we painted in the background of clouds and sky on the wall keeping in tonal harmony with the existing paint scheme.
